Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) is an armoured vehicle and battle tank manufacturing factory located at Avadi in Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is managed by Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVANI) of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
Position :- Apprentice
Job Location :– Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Stipend :-
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/- pm
- Diploma (Technician) Apprentices: Rs. 8,000/- pm
- Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/- pm
Qualification :-
Graduate Apprentices (Engineering/ Technology):
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) granted by a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) granted by an Institution empowered to grant such a degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline.
- Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
- Disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology
- Civil Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
Diploma (Technician) – (Engineering/ Technology):
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology(Full-time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce/Humanities such as BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA etc. (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory University/Deemed University in relevant discipline – UGC approved.

Duration of Training :-
- The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Selection Process :-
- The board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested in the task of preparing of shortlist from the online application data.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.
- Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered email ID.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai.
