National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar or NITS) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.

Positions :- Graduate/ Diploma (Technician) Apprentice

Job Location :- Silchar, Assam

Stipend :-

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering/Non-Engineering): Rs. 9000.00
• Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Rs. 8000.00

Qualification :-

Graduate Apprentice (Engineering):

• A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/by an institution empowered to award such a degree by an act of Parliament.
• Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree.

Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering):

Technician Apprentice (Diploma):

• A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government /by a University / by an Institute recognized by the State Govt. or the Central Govt

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

Selection Process :-

• Graduate Apprentice Trainees (B.E/B.Tech./B.Sc/B.A/Equivalent); Diploma Apprentice Trainees: The guidelines for selection/qualifying examination shall be notified duly in the institute website www.nits.ac.in, and the final short listing will be on the basis of marks obtained in that examination.
• Details of short-listed candidates will be published on the website of NIT Silchar, i.e www.nits.ac.in. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates.
